Rockland believes in using a combination of authentic and traditional assessments of student learning. Their teachers use a variety of methods to teach classroom material and also to assess what students know and can do. End of unit projects, student-created skits, portfolios, debates, creative writing assignments, and essays are common assessments of student learning. These assessments coupled with traditional tests and quizzes allow their students to demonstrate their understanding in multiple ways.
