The Aquinas Institute
Rochester, New York
The Aquinas Institute is a Catholic, college preparatory co-educational school. Students in grades 6th to 12th are taught to learn, grow and lead. If a student excels academically, the school challenges that student with honors and AP classes, but if a student experiences difficulties in specific academic areas, assistance is given to help that student succeed. Aquinas provides college counseling and guidance to students who wish to move forward to college in the US. The school offers both academic and leadership clubs such as Mathletes, National Honor Society, Student Council, Student Government and much more. They also have over 40 sports teams. Their goal is to make sure every student has strong written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
Aquinas believes that education extends beyond the classroom, thus students are given the opportunity to utilize their talents and exercise their leadership abilities in real-life situations. Developing Leaders for Life is the theme of Aquinas’ activities program, which 85% of students participate in. With the wide range of co-curricular clubs and activities, there’s truly something for everyone.
